Plant Something and Watch it Grow.

It’s spring and you know what that means… GARDENING!

On Sunday, before church, my mom and I went and bought some flowers and seeds to start gardening and landscaping. She had an idea she wanted to do for the area around our chimney and I had a vision for the porch.

The chimney landscaping isn’t finished yet because the flowers I planted need to grow inside for a while, so I’ll blog about that more later on, but it’s going to be beautiful when it’s finished.

For the porch however, we planted a handful of different flower types. We have old metal milk cans that I thought would be so pretty with some flowers in them. We got a couple 6 inch pots and planted flowers in there and set the pot in the hole of the can. I think the final result is so pretty and turned a historic old piece of metal into a beautiful statement piece in the porch.

We also planted flowers in the flower-pot that my brother built-in his shop class. The whole porch is now so bright and colorful!

For graduation my sister got me a really cute flower-pot so I planted some seeds in there as well and am excited to watch them grow. I am also excited to see what flowers bloom because I planted a mystery bag of seeds and have no clue what was in it.

I am really pleased with how it all turned out and can’t wait to share with you the rest of this gardening and landscaping project.
