Sometimes a vacation is more fun when you are a tourist in your own state. That’s what my sister Darby, my friend Molly and I did last week.
My mom got us a weekend away in Whitefish and we took the first available weekend to get away from school and work and have some fun! Our main goal to go to Whitefish was to attend our church in Kalispell. We attend Fresh Life Church that is a multi-site church across the state of Montana and Utah. We are one house with mulitple rooms. Our room is in Bozeman and we wanted to go to Kalispell and Whitefish to check out the other rooms of the house, if you will.
On the way there we stopped in Missoula to see some of our friends and to get lunch, then made our way to Whitefish. We made many different stops along the way, taking many photos and making so many memories. Once we got to Kalispell we were very eger to have Krispy Kreme and Chick-fil-a and to try out different local places that we had never had before.
Saturday night we went to church in Kalispell for the very first time! What an experience. So amazing to see a new room, the main room if you will, and to see all that God is doing in this state. Sunday morning, we went to church again in Whitefish and got to meet all the amazing people that are serving there. It was so great to see old friends and to make new ones. We can’t wait to go back!
On the way home later on Sunday, we stopped at the Garded on 1,000 Buhdas. It was a pretty cool site to see, in the most random of places in Montana. We then slowly made it home and made it back to reality. Once we have graduated, we will be going back again.
