Thanksgiving is almost here! A time to be with family and friends we are thankfully for while surrounded by delicious food we are equally as thankfully for. Last night we celebrated Friends-Giving at mine and Darbys appartment with our closest friends. I was so happy to be surrounded with the people who make me as happy as I am!
I was also very excited about the surprise I had planned for everyone. Our friend Molly is back home for the semester and she was able to come down for dinner to surprise everyone. I knew about it first and told Darby. Molly kind of spilled the beans to Nolan who told David, but they weren’t 100% sure she was coming, and Ashley and Madie had not idea. Shanna was positive that Molly was coming but when everyone was over, with no sign of Molly, they assumed they were wrong. Until “Queen Elizabeth” (Molly has a Queen Elizabeth mask that she brought and wore out) came out from my room and surprised everyone! It really was the icing on the cake that would be a great evening with friends.
Darby and I made stuffed turkey breasts, rolls, and darby made mini lemon pies for dinner. During the invitation process, Darby mentioned that she had bought boxed mashed potatoes, and everyone lost their minds. Nolan quickly took over the mashed potatoes, Ashley made cherry pie, Madie brought a delicious green bean casserole, David brought sweet potatoes that were “the most delicious thing ever” and Shanna brought pumpkin pie and stuffing. The food was delicious and we are all soon in a food coma.
All in all, it was the most amazing friends giving and I am so blessed to have these wonderful people in my life and always there for me! I don’t know how I could get by without you all!
Love,
SJ
